Remediation Courses also provide option of access to online Simulation patients to meet 48hrs of Clinical hour requirements.
PLEASE NOTE---> Remediation Students: If you are applying for RN licensure with Florida Board of Nursing and live out-of-state, you will be required to come to Florida for 48hrs of onsite clinical rotation at one of our affiliation sites listed below {Scheduled Friday-Monday to complete
4 -twelve hour shifts}.
***Students who wish to arrange their own Preceptorship at a facility located near your home in Florida see instructions & forms below.***
You will need to contact the HR department of that facility or the Nurse Education director and explain that you are seeking a RN preceptor in order to complete RN Remediation BON requirements. Give them the facility affiliation agreement along with Professor Grant’s email if they want to start a new affiliation agreement contract to allow you to do hours there.
If you know a agreeable RN preceptor at a facility it could make the process much easier and quicker. That person must sign the preceptorship request form with contact information for verification. Be sure to show the Clinical Handbook to the RN preceptor so that he/she is aware of the course clinical requirements. You must complete no less than 96hrs [either 8—12hr shifts or 12—8hrs shift.]
